lunch - hyphalootin

The silly season is over and now… time to hibernate, would be nice anyways. It’s been pretty quiet round here we had the usual suspects around for christmas lunch which was nice. On the table this year was a three bird roast of goose stuffed with chicken stuffed with pheasant with the usual trimmings. It was very tasty and fun to work through the layers of meat. At about 10 lbs/4.5kg of solid meat was unsurprsing no one managed a second helping especially given the amount of food we had before and after.

Antipasti
Broadbean soup
Three bird roast
Porcini, oyster mushroom, spinach and stuffing in pastry
Cheese platter
Giant mince pies and Christmas pudding

New Years was another fun Low Life affair. A good smattering of disco, house, italo and a bit of techno in the front room. Was a bit nippy out and coming down with colds meant we had to call it an earlyish night. The year started in a pretty sorry state with us out bed ridden for a couple of days. Nice one thanks for the cooties Sam.

Bit of activity over at flickr now i’m finally getting my ass into gear and uploading a few pictures from the last few years. Sam got me a Lomo so i’m looking forward to more shooting from the hip and silly pictures once i work out how to use it properly.
