Can’t believe i forgot to mention this… Sam thought it’d be fun to take me and the boys to see a burlesque show about a month ago. It was pretty funny actually. The crowd was a mixed bag of wannabe swinging hipsters and loads of lesbians and a few curious ppl like us.

The show was at Koko a very appropriate venue and mceed by Julian Clary with a few musical interludes and support acts. Kalani Kokonuts was i spose your more Vegas style act. Michelle L’Amour “the ass that goes pow” (her catchline not mine!) did an impressive feather fan dance but I think my favourite was Dirty Martini it was unabashed almost no frills and funny.

It was all about Immodesty Blaize though and she had an impressive array of props and backup dancers. It was an altogether more elaborate and highly choreographed show with giant oversized props. Quite a fun night out in the end.
